One more day left for linda's chef of the week, then Kayla on Monday.
Do you like things like junket, jelly (jello), custard made with custard powder, yoghurt (modern one), trifle, parfait. Please add anything you think of along that theme, trifle, meringue desserts etc. I suppose you would prefer hotter desserts?

Yes, I like jello, custards and yoghurt, trifle, parfait.....I' love almost every kind of dessert. Why does it all have to taste sooo good? ;D I prefer colder desserts. Even ones that a lot of people here might heat up (like pie or apple crisp), I prefer cold. My favourite dessert....well that's hard to narrow down -- I like 'em all. I guess if I had to choose, it would be something like chocolate cheesecake or something similar (it would at least have chocolate in it. ) Linda

That is pretty, BR, especially with the burner covers. All of our stoves here in Canada are similar -- all that size. Here is a picture of what mine looks like (it's not exactly, but very similar). Mine is flat on the top, which makes it easy to clean (just wipe it off as the burners are underneath the glass). What kind of burners are on your stoves? s7d3.scene7.com/s7ondemand/zoom/flasht_zoom.jsp?company=TheBrick&sku=cfef372es_ac&zoomwidth=600&zoomheight=600Dh and I love salads, Caesar salad, garden salad, potato salad....I can't really think of a salad either of us don't like. They are especially nice in the warm and hot weather, although I try to have a vegetable salad every day (not always successful, but most days I have one). My dc are not so fond of salads. DD eats them and loves them, our oldest ds will eat them and I guess likes most of them (although they wouldn't be his first choice) but youngest ds does not like them at all and won't eat any. Quite often we go to events that have the food laid out on tables, like parties, church suppers or after an awards night etc. Dh likes those best, he says he can get enough to eat at those. LOL Linda

My new house has a ceramic cooktop. I have only used it to boil water so far. Thanks for sharing. DH wishes to know if it is a pot drawer at the bottom? I love pot drawers, but most stoves just have kick "boards" at the bottom now. I also like the proportions of the oven glass reminds me of 1960s wood stoves. If I could I would have a gas stove. The one we have now is round metal the original owner had those covers. My little girl loves potato salads, they will eat potatoes every day. I'll sneak in a last question. Thank you very much for being Chef of the Week! Do you like mustard, horseradish etc.?

Yes, that is a pot drawer in the bottom of the stove. I store my baking pans in there and one roasting pan. I think (although I haven't really looked at stoves in stores for awhile now) that our stoves still have the pot drawer in the bottom.
Yes, I do like mustard but am not a real fan of horseradish. I also like relish and a bit of ketchup is ok too (but not a real big van of that)
