Roast lamb is lovely, I guess we had a lot of it when we were young, especially at Nanas.
Vegies. What vegies do you buy regularly, and which would you buy rarely if ever?

And after vegetables ..... popcorn. I love popcorn, and make it the Tightwad Gazette way with kernals, oil and a saucepan. When I was a kid, and we still lived in CA, we used to buy popcorn in an aluminum disposable frypan with handle. When the corn kernals popped, the foil covering on top of the frypan would expand until it was a high silver foil dome filled with popcorn. Now, I'm talking about a long, long time ago, before there was such a thing as microwaves , but I've always wondered whether they still sell popcorn like that.

Butting in here, Violet (hope that's ok) but I love popcorn too!! ;D When I was young, we made it with the saucepan, oil and kernels as well. But I remember that aluminum pan --- it was called Jiffy Pop, I don't know if I ever had it, but remember the commercials on tv for it. I thought it was so neat! Here are some pics ;D tinyurl.com/5ltzlaLinda

Australia was really plain in comparison I think. Thanks for sharing violet and linda. I bought some plain popcorn today. Good to have in the back of the cupboard just in case.

Vegies. What vegies do you buy regularly, and which would you buy rarely if ever? I buy pretty much all veggies- broc, cauli, carrots, peas, beans, corn, peppers, onions, taters, spinach, maters (for those that consider it a veg), cukes, etc. These I buy fresh &/or frozen. There are a few that I don't buy. No one will eat them- asparagus, avocado, and I'm sure there's a few more, but that's all I can really think of.

I have seen the popcorn in the aluminum pan. It's made by Jiffy pop. I should get some for the kids!!

Linda thank you so much for that link!! Now that I know it's still around, I will have to go back to the States for a visit lol. I used to LOVE that stuff - it was so exciting hearing the corn start popping, and then watching the pan get higher and higher. Mom used to buy it every now and then. Ah, memories. After bread, please tell me what you'd do in this scenario, Kayla: You are home alone - dh and the kids are out until after dinner. The only person you have to cook for is you! What will you make yourself for dinner?

That sounds great. Are there any speciality breads that you like? I love bread. period. LOL... I love a food thick, crusty bread, sliced thick & slathered in my HM roast garlic spread, broiled til the edges are browned. And I love artisan breads. OH! And there is one that I make occasionally called Honey wheat oatmeal bread. YUM!

What will you make yourself for dinner? As much as I love to cook, you guys are going to LYBO at this. Every so often, Hubba takes the kids to MIL's house for dinner. I go along some too, but sometimes I just stay home & enjoy the P&Q. I love her, we get a long great, so I only stay home for the opportunity of me time. Anyway, back to the question- I usually have a bowl of cereal, rofl!!!

Nuts & seeds? Do you like sesame seeds on your bread? Pepitas? Nuts just as a snack or maybe on icecream?

Pepitas- if you mean pumpkin seeds, yes- we roast them each halloween when we carve our pumpkins. I like them as snacks- pistachios & cashews I think are my faves. Hubba likes smoked almonds the best. I like them on ice cream, occasionally, and I like baking with them. Ooo, and I LOVE peanut buster parfaits from Dairy Queen *drool*
