I've never found the ideal place for my "stuff", the things like my bills book, receipts, oft-used manuals..things that need to be visible so they're accessible. A desk in my bedroom would be nice, a small one, but that would mean losing clothes storage. The kitchen's another obvious spot, but my kitchen is really, really small.
It's a perennial problem here...

It is hard to feel organised without places for those things. At the moment my bill paying book is on a shelf near the computer and a pen nearby next to the phone. My calculator is in the kitchen drawing with the shopping list. Other have filled up that drawer which is disappointing.
I have a drawer in the clothes drawer but I think I have to give it back to the clothes. Some are actually waiting to go in it.
The cheque book is in a tiny drawer in our room in a dresser which is basically all shelves except for this drawer. It is used for book storage and magazines that I intend to cull.
