We are in the middle of changing internet service providers, so have gone from DSL with a speed of 1500/256kbps to dial-up with a speed of 50.6kbps while the changeover takes place - a pain and a vast difference. (Australia has the slowest internet anyway). I'm spending less time on line, and guess what? Getting more things done around the house.
So, do you allow yourself a set period of time online?

Br, you won't know yourself once they get ADSL up there, at a reasonable cost, it's so much quicker, and best of all you can still use the phone. I'd love to see what it's like in other countries - the newspaper showed the figures and it was million times faster! Well, way faster anyway.

I do have to "police" myself, Violet.
Usually I log on for a few minutes in the morning, check in again around lunch and maybe right before bedtime.
I try to set a timer for 45 minutes and use that. Doesn't always work though.
We don't have highspeed out in the rural area we live in. Only the bigger towns/cities.

The timer's a great idea, Lynn. I get a guilty feeling when I see the timer on FlyLady, because it really would stop me wasting a lot of time achieving little! Br I'll bet your family loved coming home to a freshly baked cake.
