Ok gals, it will be spring for some of us soon and I am challenging you all to get a bag, walk thru your home and fill that bag with things to throw away...Come on I know you can fill one little bag.
Then...I want you to get another bag and walk thru and fill it with things that you can give away, freecycle, sell, etc.
Then, yep we aren't done yet...Get one last bag and gather things that are sitting around and put them in their proper home.
YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
Let me hear all about your successes. Now, go get those three bags.

Sure Lucie. Sales are good. You get rid of your clutter and get $$$ in the process. I use to do garage sales all the time. But it is alot of work, lifting and such.
Good Luck in the spring!

Well, earlier this week I started on the guest room and have a garbage bag full and several boxes in the hall for DH to take out. Plus, I set 3 bags of clothes and a box of books out at the curb for AmVets to pick up today.

Way to go Cheryl. I removed a grocery store type bag full of papers, magazines and catalogs.
Then I took the same sized bag, walked thru the house and filled it with things to put away. Next I emptied that putting all the items in their proper places.
Now as to the bag of things to sell. It would take more than a bag for this. So, here is what I am doing. I am gathering up, one item at a time that I want to sell. And posting it different places to sell. What I don't sell I will free cycle. This will take longer but at least I might make a few bucks off of my *treasures*

I've taken 4 bags to Goodwill in the past week plus listed several things on ebay that will also go to Goodwill if they don't sell.

Good job Pat. I wish I was brave enough to sell on ebay. Do you have any problems selling there?

Occassionally I get someone who doesn't want to pay me. Of course I don't ship without receiving the payment but ebay expects their fees. The other issue is that you never know when it's an off season for ebay and nothing is selling well. Still have to pay the fees and not make any profit. I have found that Ryan's clothes sell better than anything else and crafts/purses sell the worst.

When I cleaned out and sorted my three file cabinets of scrapbook supplies I tossed out two huge bags of things. I also shredded tons of papers from the two file boxes on my desk. Tomorrow I am on to do our personal files and get tax papers gathered up.
Lots of bags of stuff going out of this house!
