Well I suppose someone had to say it! Whatever one's opinions of these books, HP is a reading phenomenon.
I've been hearing stories of how busy stores were at the release on Saturday, with one fellow camping out in front of a local bookstore to ensure he was the first to buy. I ordered dd's copy a few weeks back, and she was able to get it on Saturday. That was the last time she spoke - well, almost - until Sunday night when she finished it.
I have yet to read one, but have friends who have read them all, and who had been eagerly awaiting this installment.
Prior to the release of the latest book, dd re-read the previous books, managing to find the time to go to the newly released movie, too! She's in her final year of high school so it's been a nice distraction for her.
