Well, looks like my behind is going to be outside starting tomorrow. My blackcaps are ready to pick, so for the next week or so, I'll be out there picking daily. Don't know if I have enough of these to sell, but I have the little containers just in case.

After today's picking, I have about 6 quarts in the freezer. ;D I like these better than blackberries. They are sweeter and I don't have a lot of these, so decided to keep them for us. ;D Raspberries aren't doing very well, I really should have thinned them out. Oh well live and learn. I know what to do for next year now. The blackberries will be another couple of weeks yet before they are ripe. They are still very small, hard and really green.

Yes Linda they are. They are called 'blackcaps' because they resemble raspberries in their shape, where blackberries have the stem portion up inside them and are more sour than blackcaps. Last years crop was dismal, but this years should be much better with all the rain we have been getting. Edited to fix my spelling error. ;D
