Wow, this is neat-o!! Let's see, I've been quilting for 3 years now...and I never would have guessed it could become so addictive!! LOL I NEVER liked sewing...that is until I was introduced to quilting, and now I do sewing on quilts in all my spare time. Which of course I never have enough of, my days fly by so quickly, I look forward to Saturday's, as that is usually a day I can do some sewing and quilting. I really love to make gifts for people, quilts take a long time and are much work, but people seem to love to receive a labor of love! Thanks for asking Michelle!!

Tammie I think having a working dog is neat. Can you tell us how you got Levi and what is his and your training schedule like? What does he do to help you out?

Hmmm, just got in from spending the morning buying groceries, banking and such...thought I'd better check this thread out and try to respond as best I can!! ~Deed: Levi is a 7 month old golden retreiver, and he is just a total joy! Tim and I just adore him and he has just been a total sunbeam in our home. He is an experiment I guess, I've thought it would be lovely to have a service dog, mainly the help one could give me is in the area of picking up things off the floor or ground. There hasn't been a program in my area that I could look into for getting a service dog. So I am attempting to train my own...I have a wonderful dog trainer who is giving me help and hints and such. It is quite a challenge. So far he can sit, down, stay, up onto my lap and we are "trying" to work with him on the command "pick it up"...but that is only when he wants to so far!! LOL Honestly, if Levi never learns to do a thing to help me, he has already developed the ability to make me laugh and smile alot...so that is worth it all!! ~Miss Violet: I would love to garden, but I don't have one! But I have always been very fortunate to have parents and neighbors who garden and they generously share their produce with me!! Just got some fresh rhubarb from my mom, want to make a torte this week!! ~Lucie: How do I pin down a fave color? I love so many! I guess I do tend to lean toward the pinks and lavender hues of all sorts. But also love deep blues and greens and dark burgendy....the list is way tooo long. *wink* And the soft pastel colors always are special too, when it comes to picking out colors in fabrics...well, it truly is difficult to make up my mind!

I met Tim back in 1983. In our area, a rollerskating rink (remember those?!!) had church night skating on the third Monday night of each month, and area church youth would attend. At the last minute that night I got a ride to town, and Tim (who was farming) didn't have to work in the fields due to rain...so we both went to church rollerskating night. I was eating an ice-cream sandwich on the side and watching others skate...this cute young man came up to me and with his most charming smile asked, "Are you going to eat that whole thing all by yourself?" I gave him a smile back and offering a bite of my ice-cream sandwich said, "Nope"! And that was it....we spent the rest of the night talking like old friends, just like we had known one another for a long time, we hit it off really well. And we have been together ever since! So it all started over an ice-cream sandwich at the local roller rink (which isn't there anymore!). You can imagine how thrilled I was when Tim asked me to skate for the "couples skate"!! LOL

Ooooo...Miss Violet, that is a great question! I would love to go visit Switzerland and see the Alps. Ever since I was a little girl, I loved the movie "Sound of Music", and I thought the mountains and the scenery of that area looked just awesome. I know that trip will never happen with me being in a wheelchair, but if I was walking and could save money for a trip like that....that is where I'd long to go!!
