Counting my blessings, that is. I tend to expect one crisis after another - experience has taught me that's what happens. But on a smaller, day to day level, I do understand intellectually that it's the little things I need to learn to be grateful for because the little things are what we experience most, and which therefore make up the bulk of our thoughts about life, if you see what I mean.
A woman I heard on radio said that each night, before she goes to sleep, she thinks of three things that have happend in the day for which she is grateful. By writing them down, she has a diary of happy things to look back on.
Sounds like a good idea, now I just need to put it in to practice.

I have several 'not so strong points' LOL But I do have some good ones too. I am a strong person in general, usually very quiet and in the background, been like that all my life. Okay let me rephrase that, I am quiet around everyone but my family though sometimes I am quiet there too. I am very very stubborn! You may not know it but while I am being quiet, I am digging my heels in and won't budge! I am very opinionated too, I see most things in black and white, but as I get older I try to see the gray side of things. Violet, I think that lady you heard has a good point, I'm going to try it myself. Not write it down, cuz that just isn't me, but I will try to think of 3 good things each day.

I have a hard time remembering what happened at the end of the day, and have found counting blessings kind of hard. Will try to do it again, I'm sure it would get easier.

There is a great quote about what you said violet in a Little House book. I will try and find it and post it. It was advice Laura's mother gave to her.
