I was eating lunch with Patrick and his friend and what do I notice....my diamond is missing of my engagement ring. Then I noticed my right inner arm is all scratched. I then realized that I scartched myself while sleeping last night. I have 6 scartches...that tells me I move alot when I sleep...lol..
Anyways...we'll be looking inside the house, but I don't think we'll find it. It's a very small diamond.
Oh and I can't take it off...it's too tight on my finger. I will need to lose weight to get it off and get it fixed...but then I don't know if we'll buy a diamond...those are expensive.
Anyways...my ring is over 19 years old...I guess things like this happen sometimes.

Oh Lucie, I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you find it. I know how I would feel if I lost my little diamond too. Would break my heart. Let us know if you find it. Hugs

Oh NO Lucie! I hope you can find it and get it put back in, I know I would be heartbroken if I lost my little diamond too. I know what you mean about rings being too tight. I finally had to take mine off a few weeks ago too. I just liquid dish soap and a lot of pulling, but I finally got them off. Good thing too, my hands are swelling badly this year in the heat.

Oh, Lucie! (((((HUGS))))) How devistating. I pulled my mother's wedding band off and put it up. It's 45 years old. I took it to the jewler to have it cleaned and he said the tips holding the diamonds in were worn. Now I'm scrapping $100 together to get it fixed. What I'm saying is emotionally I went through what it would be like to lose a stone out of it. I hope you find it.

Oh Lucie, I'm so sorry! I need to take my rings in to be fixed. The gold under the setting is wearing thin and I'm so afraid I'm going to lose my diamonds also.

Karen, did you lose the diamond on your mother's ring or you are getting it fixed to prevent it? I didn't quite understand what you meant when you said you *pulled you mother's ring and put it up*...sorry if I sound ignorant...you know sometimes because being french, I may not understand the meaning of things, although it happens rarely. Well, we still didn,t find my diamond. Pierre said we'll be sweeping every inch of our bedroom. I was thinking...maybe I lost at the bread outlet. There, I lift and close bread racks...maybe I hit my finger on something and lost there. Luckily it's closed for the week. I'll call my friend and tell her to check if she sees it anywhere, before she opens next week. You know it's strange...last night I dreamt that I was eating in a restaurant with Pierre and he left me there alone and told me he had another wife...it really disturbed me...and you know I have been looking at my finger all the time feeling sad to see I only have my small wedding ring. You know we were only 20 when we got engaged and Pierre didn't have a good job then, so my wedding band and engagement ring are small and thin and I only had 2 tiny diamonds...and now to see my finger in one small band..well I feel like something is missing on me. I think I only took off my wedding rings 3 times in my life.... Oh well, we will try to find it and if we don't well, I can tell myself that life is like that. We lose what is dear to us sometimes and we need to go forward anyways...I know it's only a diamond, but it was precious to me.

Of course it is precious to you Lucie! Just a thought, turn off the lights in the room you are searching in, and use a flash light to look for your diamond. It should glitter/shine enough for you to see it better.

Keep searching Lucie. I hope you will find it. No matter how small, it is the meaning that counts. My first diamond was very tiny and the band wore thin and the prongs. Luckily, I discovered the diamond was loose so I had it set in a necklace. And now I wear my anniversary band.
Hugs

Keep searcing Lucie. I doubt Pierre would do something that devistating to you. Let us know when you find it hon. I know what you are going through, I accedentally knocked mine off into the garbage disposal ( it got crunched up real bad all we found of it was the twisted metal) a few years ago and thought I would die. Don replaced it with a Cubic and I am so glad of it because if I lose this one then not that big of a deal!

Oh Lucie, I am so sorry. I know that your ring means alot to you. I am hoping you find your stone soon. {{{hugs}}}
We are at a point financially that as my MIL put it, "he (dh) could get me something bigger", but I want the one I was married with. It has more sentimental value to me than anything else could ever have.

It's the same for me, Melody....even small, my ring is a precious reminder of the day he gave it to me....
Still looking for it...
