Let's see-- latest update from here. . . . mamogram was fine. . . .lymph node biopsy was fine. . . . blood work for cancer markers was fine. . . so far the only thing they can find is the cancerous tumor in my jaw. . .

Started on oral chemo-- making me sicker than a dog. . . they give me Zofran for the nausea/vomiting but it only helps a little.

I'm so tired most of the time, I can barely put one foot in front of the other. . . . my red cell count dropped, almost to the point of needed a transfusion and Procrit -- but not quite. Ah well.

I've not told many people IN REAL, FACE TO FACE LIFE about all this--- my parents are dealing with their own issues. . . Doug would freak out. . . Deana would freak out. . . Marty, uh--- hasn't asked, so I haven't said anything.

My best friend knows, my boss knows, my preacher's wife knows. . . that's it.

Denise I wish I could remember how Mum deals with it with me. I don't really freak out, so she does a good job. When I was about Deana's age I was spared from one episode with cancer that she had.

Anyway, I am so glad the news is good, I am SO sorry that you feel so unwell though. I am assuming they think things will go well, I guess it is too early? It is hard with your parents so sick. They are reasonable stable at the moment so you don't have urgent things to worry about with them? Not saying you should tell them necessarily.

So you are able to take it easy? Look after yourself, we are here if it is not too tiring.
