It is Christmas is Coming I think, I must admit I haven't heard it before.
Christmas is Coming
Christmas is coming, The geese are getting fat, Please put a penny In the old man's hat. If you haven't got a penny, A ha'penny will do, If you haven't got a ha'penny, Then God bless you.

Gal's I'm sorry I don'thave the answer in front of me. I am at my mom's and can't get my own email where they are or to post the next clue.
My dad had emergency surgery last night and I am staying with my mom. Dad is doing fine, tired and sore, but much better now.
Soon as I get home, either today or tomorrow, I will check the answer and post the next clue for you all.

I'm not sure, Longfellow is an American, yes?
Try this one ~
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day Henry Wadsworth Longfellow(1807-1882), 1867
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day Their old familiar carols play, And wild and sweet the words repeat Of peace on earth, good will to men.
I thought how, as the day had come, The belfries of all Christendom Had rolled along the unbroken song Of peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair I bowed my head: "There is no peace on earth," I said, "For hate is strong and mocks the song Of peace on earth, good will to men."
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: "God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, With peace on earth, good will to men."
Till, ringing singing, on its way, The world revolved from night to day, A voice, a chime, a chant sublime, Of peace on earth, good will to men!
~
All these words are beautiful. Must get my music CD out and actually play it since there are not too many days left to go!
