The little sweetie! She couldn't hardly sleep last night, she was so excited. I dropped her off this morning and she seemed a little anxious and unsure. Blake's preschool teacher, from 10 years ago, was there all day. When I picked her up Miss Linda said she did real good. Gracie told me she had fun at her new school! My baby's growing up!

I still picture my daughter as a one year old in our rented farmhouse, but it is obvious now at nearly 4 she is not a baby anymore, so I know what you mean. I can't picture dropping her off and leaving her next Feb. did your little one have any experience of this? Sounds like you did good.

I've been taking both of the little ones to daycare for a few hours every Tuesday for a little time off. Dd knows one of the girls ih her class from there.
I'm actually not sure if it was her who was anxious or me! Probably me. Miss Linda got a kick out of Gracie's sense of humour. Wait until they get Kevin too next year!

How many children do you have Karen, is it the three? I did have the option for daycare as a pre-school for 3 year olds, but my girl is just doing the dancing class with some kids that may go with her to pre-school next year, hopefully it will be enough. I guess I watch at that, not sure if leaving is a good idea, maybe I could, not sure.

It reminds me of when my Grace was going to kindergarten (preschool). Sadly she is 11 now!
My daughter Amelia will be 4 in December, but she doesn't start preschool until late January. Does your Grace only do the one year at pre-school? Is she one of the younger ones in the group? My eldest was very young, he was 4 in the April, 2 1/2 months after he started pre-school. Now the cutoff date has been moved he is two weeks short of the cut off date.
I am happy though that he doesn't drive a car in the final year of HS. He gets his licence next April, he finished HS in a few weeks. I know that sounds strange, as in the US everybody has their licence.

Gracie will be 4 in January. She will have 2 years of preschool. She's ready for a nap now, and leaning heavily on my arm here.

Wow! TIme sure flies doesn't it? My dd started preschool on the 6th as well. She has been going to something since she was 2. At 2 there was a Mother's Day Out program 2 days a week for 3 hrs that she went to. Last year at 3 she went to a 3 day a week MDO/preschool program. This year she goes 5 days a week for 3 hrs. (we are back to the same church school she went to when she was 2)
She really enjoys it, and franklly, I need the break. She is a high energy kid and she wears me out. With dh gone all the time, this gives me a chance to just do things alone with the baby.

It is good we all have a 3 to 4 year old daughter. In our state kinder/preschool is 10 hours per week for the year before school. I think my daughter will be doing two 5 hour days, which seems hard, and some kids come in on the bus for it.
I am glad she is enjoying it. Wish my daughter could start with you all, so I could join in. I have a few months left, I am supposed to get a pack in the mail about it, haven't seen it yet though.

Gracie gets on the bus at 7:10 AM and off the bus at 1:30 PM 5 days a week. School is from 8 to 5. It seems a bit much to me, and a bit much to her too come Friday.
