4 hours by car. It is closer, but there is a mountain that you have to go around and the short cut is dirt road, but we are going to try it. Click on the map: topdrive.com.au/map.htmlUsually I go through Tumut and Gundagai, 4 hours. It is also 4 hours to go over the mountain, ie the tallest in Australia to Adaminaby and Shannon's Flat. I hope to take shortcut from Tumut east.

4 hours. Not short but not long either. Wlll he get to come home often or will you visit. Our ds went to college in Nashville, TN over 8 hours from our home. I tried to visit as often as we could and made a vacation out of it as well, because Nashville is one of my very favourite places to be. We tried to fly him home for holidays.

Luckily there are heaps of things the other children like to do in Canberra. We are trying out the zoo first. I want to go to the botanical gardens. I have also always wanted to take them to a dinosaur place and they have one of those, even a minature place. It goes on like that.
I have just come home from buying the intended groceries.
