I went to my favorite thrift store today! (I got Gracie a "house" toddler bed for $15!) They had 3 boxes, about banana box size, of upholsry fabric samples. I was able to leave them there since my computer/sewing/craft room is an absolute disaster. I'm sure I'll go back after them, but what to make?

What a great find Karen! Gracie will be thrilled! ;D
Well how about chair cushions, window seat cushions anything for your camper need repairs/replacing? Upholstery fabric is also great for sturdy tote bags.

Oh! OH! PILLOWS! I can make some pillows for my couch! Maybe I can find some satiny backing on the clearance table at Hancock! How can I toughen up the satiny stuff though? Fuse it to some muslin?
They are just sample squares, 12" x 12" - 18" - 24" (?), like someone tore them out of a book.

What about interfacing them Karen, Deed will know I am sure. I am just guessing so if I am wrong no one laugh ok??? lol
Ok so you can't make shades, what about piecing some together to make valances for the window tops to match the pillows.

Car is right Karen, you can use fusible interfacing and your idea will work too. Just because it is upolstery fabric doesn't mean you can't use it for other things. LOL Can't wait to see what you make with it!

Fusible interfacing! Well, duh, it doesn't need to look nice on the inside too!
I also hought about piecing some together as a table runner for my gorgeous new dining room table.
How about adding some finge (maybe beaded) around the edges and to some squares as well to drape over the curtain rod valance style?
I knew it would be good for something!

Oh Karen, a table runner pieced together would be gorgeous. And I love the sound of beaded fringe for the valances. Just to cute. Please let us see it when your finished creating. Hugs

what neat ideas! The only time I have used upholstery fabric was when I got a large remnant and redid my seat cusions on my kitchen chairs.

There were 3 heaping banana boxes. I paid $10 for it all. There are some lighter weifght squares all nicely cut that I might try to make a quilt with.
