Whole Wheat Gardenpatch BreadIngredients 1 package dry yeast 1/3 cup warm water 1 - 5 oz. can evaporated milk 1/4 cup margarine 2 eggs 3/4 cup coarsely chopped cabbage 1 carrot, cut up 1/4 cup sliced celery 1/4 cup snipped parsley 2 tablespoons honey 2 teaspoons salt 2 cups whole wheat flour 2 cups bread flour Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. In a blender container combine milk, margarine, eggs, cabbage, carrot, celery, parsley, honey and salt. Cover and blend until smooth; add to yeast mixture. Stir in whole wheat flour and as much bread flour as you can. On lightly floured surface, knead in enough remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic, 8-10 minutes. Place in greased bowl; turn once. Cover; let rise in warm place until double, about 1 1/4 hours. Punch dough down; divide in half. Cover; let rest 10 minutes. Place dough in 1 large and 1 small loaf pan or shape dough into two (2) round loaves and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover; let rise until almost double, about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Cover with foil last 10 minutes to prevent over browning. Cool on rack.
