Our agricultural show or county fair is on Saturday. I have to get the entries organised this week for the girls.
I am thinking I will write out here what I have worked out so far and get the girls to say yes or no to things tomorrow.
Section P - Dogs & Pet Show
Class 7. Novelty Pet (the girls want to enter their guinea pigs) not sure about this.
Country Show Girl Competition
1.30pm Tiny Tot 1. 8-10 years 3.
Not sure about the other one. Not sure about the competition yet.
Section Q. Class 20.
Collection of fresh herbs (dh)
Section Q. 30. Pumpkin or 37. Vegetable not otherwise specified. Pity I ate the largest acorn squash. I am putting it in for the novelty value, maybe.
Junior Cookery

I scaled things back a bit. This is what I have so far, and hope to add needlework for dd9.

Floral Saucer on the internet is mostly all over Australia. It means a saucer filled with wet sand. Then you fill with flowers and some leaves until you can't see the sand but it is still a saucer shape. It is a competition for children. My favorite as a girl.

I haven't seen the tickets yet, but I beleive the girls have done well today.
1st for the prettiest baby doll 2nd for the national costume doll 2nd for best loved child's toy and 1st for the embroidery.
As well as a card they also get some prize money.
I was thinking of taking some pics of the fair, but the camera is not here at the moment which is a shame.

dd4 has been enjoying her show bag. Do you have these at county fair's? They enjoyed the jumping castle and she also got her face painted like a dog. The other two girls are hanging with their friends. DH is going back shortly to collect their things.
