Today I donated a large box and one bag of sheets to goodwill which I think is the name for our op-shop. We have the Salvation Army stores in Australia as well, but not in our town. Our store profits go to the schools.
The kids have asked about double boilers twice lately as they do a little cooking on the weekends sometimes. I got one there. Sure it is a little dated, but nice. I also got this great mountain type coat, obviously specially made for this type of area. It fits me very well. It is wool on the outside and lined with a zip, chocolate brown like homespun.
I also got two school dresses that I think will come in handy sometime.
DD found some old-fashioned blocks that she really likes playing with and a Clifford book.
Please feel free to add your latest finds.

Sounds good! I've been working the last several days on getting rid of stuff. We had a big storage shed out back and my dh sold it. So all the "junk" that was in it had to be sorted thru. I tossed oodles of stuff. I kept all my homeschool books, and now I gotta make room for them somewhere else. My deep freezer is sitting in the carport plugged in along with my car vac, coolers and outdoor sports chairs. That's about all I have left. And bunches of canning jars. I can store those in my mom's attic, I think. The little guy has been telling me he needs more shorts to wear around the house, so maybe one day this week I'll see what's left at Goodwill. He's growing so fast....from an 8 to a 14H just over the summer!!!!!! Size 3 shoe to a 5 1/2.

Wow, does that mean he is going to be tall? Our daughter tried on her summer school dress, and thankfully I think she has stopped growing for awhile, gives Mum a chance to catch up lol. I have some canning/preserving jars on the side verandah where they were dumped. Have to work on that. Our sizes are slightly different to yours. dh bought dresses from the US by eye, I would be hopeless, although getting better. That is a big jump though! I think a shed is a major achievement. Well done. Hope you find some great inspiration for the books.

Looks like I have 3 huge boxes of school books. I still don't know where I'm going to put them all. I have a hall closet that mainly houses gift wrap paper, school supplies, games, etc. Maybe I can get in there and reorganize....we'll see what I can come up with. I could never eyeball a dress or anything else either, for size. Good for him!

We store alot of text books too. It is quite hard.
I might go through our little girls picture books next. They are kept in a different place to the text books. I will get her to choose which ones she likes as I know she doesn't like all of them.

The sorting through books worked out very well, I am pleased with the result.
I went to another op-shop today, a church one in another town. I got some nice jeans for myself and some shorts for dd12. ds got some t-shirts and a couple of vinyl records of some of his favourite music. I also got a nice vegetable cookbook.
In the meantime our medium sized daughter got two school dresses for herself as well, and my Mum will take down the hems for me.
The recipiant of some of our picture books apparently has been having fun reading them. We just happened to hear who got them.
