Not much stuff can be recycled in NZ as we don't have the facilities to manage them plastics and glass get shipped off to Asia to be recycled. There are a lot of councils who take all the different grades of plastic (1-7) but not the one where I live - they only take 1 & 2! The tetra-paks are really useful for sowing seeds in as you can put holes in them easily, and squeeze the plant out easily when it is ready to transfer - unlike some pots that you have to squeeze and thump on the base to get the plant out!
