I hate them. Sitting still while they do who-knows-what to my hair drives me nuts. When they finish I put my glasses back on and there in the mirror, darn it, is still this old, fat version of what I should look like, only with shorter hair that I know will be impossible to manage once it's washed!
On Thursday I went in for a rare haircut, but this time decided to wash my thick, wavy, greying, hair first and not blow-dry it at all, so that when I arrived it was in its just-dried, natural curly state. She cut it curly this time, rather than going through the whole washing, forty-minute blow dry thing. Well I washed it this morning and left it to dry and it looks ok. Best of all as it's layered, there's half as much hair to wash!
I'm not thrilled with it, but it looks alright and is doing what it should, so that's a good thing.

I love them. A new hair cut makes me feel like a new woman....and I love experimenting with new styles....but always choose something with layers b/c my hair is so thick.
