2 cups water 1 tablespoon ginger root, thinly sliced 4 teaspoons sugar (or honey) 5 teaspoons black tea leaves (or 4 tea bags) 2 cups milk
Bring the water to a boil. Add the ginger and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes, or longer for more flavor. Add the black tea and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain out the ginger and tea. Add the milk and heat until very hot but do not boil.
