" BASIC WHOLEMEAL PASTRY 2 cups wholemeal flour, ¼ - ½ tsp salt, 4 oz butter, ½ - ¾ cup cold water Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl and rub in the butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Mix in sufficient water to make a firm but slightly moist dough. Turn out onto a floured surface, knead slightly and roll out to required size. Makes 1 x 30cm pie base."
