I do not use mayo on any of my sandwiches, I use various mustards~ I like Cranberry mustard on this one
1 cup light mayonnaise or salad dressing, divided 1/2 teaspoon cayenne 4 ounces green chili, mild, diced 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Sweet or red onion, very thinly sliced 4 each sandwich rolls, split 8 ounces Smoked Turkey Breast, shaved
In a small bowl mix the mayonnaise, cayenne, green chili and the cheese. Set aside. Place rolls, cut side down, on grill or skillet until lightly toasted. Spread half the mayonnaise mixture on toasted side of the rolls. Divide the turkey into four portions and place on the rolls topping the mayonnaise. Add a thin slice of onion on top of that. Spoon the remaining mayonnaise mixture on each sandwich, dividing equally. Broil very lightly and serve open faced while warm.
