I am trying to put a banner in my signature from another site and for the life of me can't figure out the code! The code from the site doesn't work either.

Deed, it looks like your image does not have an ending tag like .jpg, .gif, etc. On these boards, images need to have an ending tag like that. Once it has that, here is the coding to set it up. [url=www.website_you_are_linking_to_here.com][img]http://link_for_image_here_.jpg[/img][/url] This type of coding and such can be hard. Let me know if you need more help. I can try to explain it better! Amber

Thanks for helping Amber. I went to another site for help and that didn't help at all. This is the code I need to insert <a href="http://siggiez.com/countdownz/th/index2.cgi"> <img src="http://siggiez.com/countdownz/th/ban.pl?04" width="468" height="60" border="0"></a> Why won't it accept it? Do I have to change the <> to [] around the tags? Oh and I was playing with it before and must have taken too much out of the code, i.e. the closing tags. LOL

It's more complicated than taking the < and replacing them with the [. Basically the code that you have there is HTML, and most message boards don't accept HTML coding. I believe what we are using here is BBcode. Try copying and pasting this directly into your signature. Amber you are so clever. Usually boards use html but I took a stab with mine and it is bbcode I think from memory. This site is great with sigs. once you work out which code to use.
That is a beautiful signature. It should be easy now. I put mine in my signature hard up against my writing.

Sorry, it looked like the lady had three different rows of code, but I can't work it out.
