Mine would have to be spanakopita with chips and sauce. Lots of salt. Silly me. Maybe I should try it some other way? I love Greek salad, but we have it with lamb chops and again chips! I also love baklava but don't eat any. What about you? www.taste.com.au/recipes/5771/spanakopita

What are those little triangle pastries called - the ones filled with feta and spinach, very like spanikopita but plainer. Pastizzi? Well, something like that, but whatever they're called, I love them, although they may not even be Greek! Also Dolmades, the rice in vine leaves things. Mmm

I love dolmades! I have been looking at them in the supermarket out of town. Maybe next time I should get some. I have a packet of the triangles in the freezer. I love pastizzi, I am not sure the triangles are authentic, maybe they are a blend of the two?

They are philo with feta so they could be classed as Greek, just made in the pastizzi factory.

I've made a version of dolmades, using cabbage leaves, before, but really enjoy the canned ones from the supermarket for a quick lunch. Everyone else here thinks they're awful, so I have them all to myself! Yum!
They're the pastizzi I mean - they're delicious, but again, only dd and I like them so they're not on the menu often. Hm, something else for the supermarket list!

I had mine for tea with soup. They do taste like pastizzi, I suspect there is not too much feta in there, and a whole lot of ricotta. They were very nice. I like the canned Dolmades too. I have tried the vine leaf thing, it was about 20 years ago.

Well Violet. I like your idea and I today bought a rather large can of Dolmades. Next time dh goes away or something I will have them for lunch.
