Anyone have an iPod or MP3 player? Do you like it.
What are the pros and cons.
If you have one what website do you use to download music from.
Just curious.l

We have both, the ipod is the most popular but only because it's newer than the other ones, and holds more music.
Dd has bought music from the apple store before.

Is there a place to download free. And can you load music say from a cd onto it?

My 3 older sons all have a MP3. They download music for free also. Pierre also knows where to download free music. I can ask him when he wakes up, Cara. I know Pierre downloads music on the computor and makes CDs with them...

Thanks Lucie. I know there are some free places, but not sure where and I wouldn't want to advise anyone to download from an un reliable site in case of a virus.

The son that is awake says Limewire, but dh says he would do a virus scan afterwards. This is what ds14 is saying I will go check with dh.

Thanks so much br. I would love an iPod but this is information for someone else who ask me, ...lol...they think I am a computer guru, that would be a NOT. Tell the dh and son I said thank you so much.
I don't download much of anything for fear of a virus even though I have a wonderful Virus Scan....My computer can have a firewall, but I didn't get it. Wish I had off. I don't click on attachments in my email either.
Appreciate your asking.

The other one dh suggested was BitTorrent. DS#1 says it may not be straightforward.

I just got an Ipod Nano for my birthday. I really enjoy using it when I'm working in the garden or exercising. I am happy to see some free music sites listed here. I've only used Itunes for my music, and it's generally 99 cents/song (less if you buy a whole album). I download music for the kids too and then burn the songs onto a CD for them
