My son has a DS, which he loves. We heard today that Nintendo are putting out a "game" that actually helps your brain with the philosophy "use it or lose it".
I wonder what my brain age is? We haven't got it in Australia yet. You can guess what ebay sells in Australia, all the things that aren't available here yet.

Br I actually checked a couple of gamer sites here and the Brain Training program, as it will be known here, is available to be pre-ordered for delivery mid-June. I decided it was something I'd like to try, and the price I've seen it for is around A$47 which I'm prepared to pay, but we don't have a Nintendo DS. So, ahem, while at Kmart today I put one on lay-by! It has a Mario game with it that eldest and youngest like, so it's not a COMPLETE waste of money, lol, is it?

Wow, that is fantastic! Mario is great too I think. I like the stylus. I think 47 is pretty good for a game. I was tempted too, they can worry about which parts of my brain need a workout! Did you preorder it?

I bet that article came out of the Age, a very useful newspaper. That is where I saw it, dh put a folded up newspaper in front of me. DS misses Melbourne newspapers, he thinks the Sydney one doesn't have enough AFL. He thought maybe Canberra Times would be better for next year, yes he has ordered it too far in advance. Possibly Canberra Times would have more Chinese content, but have no idea.

I haven't pre-ordered it, Br. I've done that before for ds1 and then the game was a whole lot cheaper a couple of days after it came out! So I'll wait.
There was an article about it in the Age, but I've seen it elsewhere too - can't remember where, possibly a computer mag.
Don't suppose the Age do student subscriptions in Canberra?

Btw, it's shown as Brain Training on gamehead.com.au, but the other articles I've read on line said it will be called Brain Age in English-speaking countries. Either way, it sounds like fun!

I was thinking of buying this to Patrick. Looks very educative for a nintendo game.

On the holidays my son was staying at someone's house and he bought this. Everyone has been enjoying it. I must confess I haven't played it yet.
