Seems like these guys are out in droves lately. I hope you all aren't bothered by the reminder, but you can never be too careful. Here's the one's I've gotten in the last WEEK!
1. Very official looking from the ebay Security Center, I can't remember exactly what it said now, but I know those things will always go directly to My Ebay Messages and not come in my email.
2. Another appearing to be from ebay inviting me to become a PowerSeller. I'm a tad short of qualifying, and they called this PowerSeller Silver or something different than just PowerSeller.
3. This one must be new. I was from "ebay" and the subject was "Question from ebay memeber", just like I get all day, every day. It looked sort of the same as the real ones, just slightly larger. The blue bar said, "Question from Dll*Seller*79" and the message was, " Hi, i have sent your item today, please let me know when you will get it ....and please don`t forgot to leave my feedback Thanks" I haven't bought anything from anyone on ebay, so I clicked the link to look at the item and got a log in screen. I was already logged on ebay, so I checked the URL. FAKE!
The PayPal ones are making the rounds again too. The ones where they claim you purchased something expensive and are suppose to click the link to cancel the charge.
I always forward these to spoof@paypal.com or spoof@ebay.com. I'd like to believe these crooks are being chased down and sent to jail.
