Eldest ds put me on to this - it's fabulous. It's for Firefox users only, and is an add-on called Cooliris. When searching the net, rather than having to click on every single link to see if it's worth looking at, you roll your mouse over the link, a small icon appears next to the link, rest the mouse on that icon and a thumbnail of the page from the link appears. It's fabulous, and I'm not doing it justice with my explanation. If you don't use Firefox, well, I think you should!
