Yes, completely unnecessary, but they're quite cute. www.mopod.co.uk/Press the mobile phone to see him light up and spin. They're available at a couple of places in Australia, and I bought one for my mother as she never hears her phone ring. It drives my dad crazy. So, she can hang this little penguin on her handbag and it will hopefully catch her attention when it lights up.

Sounds fantastic. I wonder if it would be good for in the car with the sound up or something like that?

They don't make a sound, unfortunately. They just light up and spin, and it is enough to catch your attention. They'd be cute hanging in the car, but I suppose the phone is more audible in the car than in my mother's handbag when she's shopping lol.

Yeah, I meant I have the sound up listening to my music. DH thinks it might work. I think it would be fun. I don't hear the phone ring in my handbag on the floor with the zip open on the bag usually.

I now have a mopod installed on the side zip on my handbag! It worked when we rang my mobile in the bag while it was sitting in the kitchen. I'll have to try it out in the car one day, to see if where I mounted it works the way I sit my handbag for visability point of view.
