Hello, I've been lurking here for a few days now, so I thought I should introduce myself. ;D My name is Linda and I'm married (almost 18 years). We have three children a boy 15, a girl 13, and another boy 10. We are just finishing our 6th year of homeschooling. We live on the east coast of Canada, in the province of Newfoundland. We are right on the Atlantic Ocean. This is all new to us as we moved here last year from central Canada (Ontario). There were no oceans where we were from, so we're enjoying the 'newness' of it all. I found this board through another board I am on (Homeschool Mom's for Christ). I think it was Braided-Rug's blog that I ended up here (although I'm not 100% sure --- I start clicking links and then I forget which place led to where.) Hmmm.....I guess that's all I can think of for me right now. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better! Linda I should have registered before I posted my intro That's why I show up as "Linda guest" in my first post. Linda

Hi Linda, yes I think it would be my blog. My husband has been to Ontario for work once. On his day off I sent him to Florence I think it was, as my ancestor lived there, went back home to Scotland, got married then came to Australia! I wonder what that was all about lol. Thanks for introducing yourself. OOh, the picture just showed up, it is lovely. Nevermind about the guest, lovely to have you as a member and see your avatar.

How did your dh find visiting Ontario? Small world. Wow, that's interesting about your ancestor--he really got around between countries! I am so fascinated by Australia ---- I would love love love to be able to visit there some day. My avatar was taken outside our house after a snow fall this past winter. Thanks again for letting me join and the warm welcome! Linda

Hi! My name is Deb Joy and I'm excited to find this new-to-me forum.
How did you find us? Stumble toolbar (stumbling on Knitting/Crochet)
Were you referred by someone? No
Married or Single? Married
Children? Ages? Two young adult daughters and a son-in-law
Pets? Barn cats (population changes regularly), one house cat, three horses - also two blue-heelers, but they stay down the road at my in-laws where the cattle are
Hobbies? Avid crocheter, learning to knit, used to cross-stitch, would like to improve sewing skills this year, love to read (currently Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer); also starting to learn food preservation from my mom-in-law - just canned my first beef last week
Christian walk? Raised "in church", but didn't give my life to the Lord until 1999 - currently between churches, trying to find a more outreach-focused fellowship to join
Work? My dream is to be a full-time homemaker and be able to help my husband more with the cattle; in the meantime, I work as a project scheduler for a power plant - I'm blessed to have other believers on my work team and in other work groups I'm associated with

Hi Deb, so lovely to have you here. I love your avatar. A scheduler, you must be very busy. I just moved the cross stitch posts which is a shame they had their own section before, but there are there. Sue I think did her first canning of meat recently too. Welcome.
