Hello Friends, I have been away both physically as well as mentally for a while. I have made lots of life changing decisions here on the homefront. The first and biggest one is that I am planning on selling my house and moving to Illinois, somewhere near Springfield if not there itself. My daughter Danielle and sister Lori both live there. Nicole is in Michigan and struggling without a family support network. Danielle's new husband Arthur is in Iraq and she also needs some support and as for me, it would be great to live mortgage free with grandchildren at my feet constantly!
The hard part is actually gettin this house ready to sell and leaving behind many roots to form new ones, but that is what I intend to do, probab;y somewhere close to the new year.
It has been a struggle for me to think about relocating and so much new-ness that it has kind of debilatated me. I am trying to just figure it all out, but it is still a struggle to manage all of this and make this decision all alone.
Keep in your prayers and thoughts!

Robin, I think it's a great idea for you to move closer to your family. I sure will keep you in my thoughts and prayers so that everything goes well in selling the house and for your move.

Hi, I love your username. It will be hard with things being unfamiliar. It is hard packing etc. too. I have been here for nearly 2 years, it may be a shock but you will be OK, especially if dd loves the idea. Have fun with your grandchildren.

Good luck with the move and preparations, Robin. I'm Elizabeth, and three years ago, I made a huge move, from Florida to New Zealand (the little speck of land closer to Australia than most New Zealanders will admit) - perhaps the move can be seen as a big adventure rather than an intimidating "everything's new" move? I know how you feel, though; when I came here, I had no idea where to go to buy the simplest things, or who to call with a simple issue -- good thing my hubby is a Kiwi and could guide me!
Where do you currently live?
