Thanks so much for the warm welcome! So nice to see you all! The children are all doing great......The boys have jobs for the summer and are having fun with their friends. Delaney has been quite the social butterfly visiting with family and friends. She just got back from my brother and sil's and Dylan is there now for a week. Our garden has done well considering the lack of rain the first part of the summer. Our berries (strawberries and raspberries) were beautiful and oh so good. We are getting tomatoes now and although they aren't big, they are delicious. My pickling cucumbers didn't do well and neither did the peppers. We didn't have a stand this year Dee as I wasn't feeling up to it. We have most of the lumber here and DH and the boys are going to build it next spring. It was nice to experiment and fill our freezer and shelves at the same time. We have given so much away as well which has felt good helping others. My cancer (throat)came back again my last checkup and I've had more treatments (radiation) I had them the first part of July. God willing the results from my next cat scan will be good news. I am to go this week and probably find out next. Up until then my outlook was positive but this news threw me for a loop and I was alot sicker after these treatments as they did my whole throat. So this summer I've been dealing with getting myself well, enjoying our garden and spending time with family. |
