Hello I am married and Mum to 4 girls (23, 22, 20 & 11). 2 are at home for now, but the oldest moves out at the end of this week. We are in the process of moving to NSW as I am about to start full time work I have just finished full time uni studies and have been looking for information about Australian methods of gardening and preserving etc. This is so neat to find a Christian site but I don't know how much I can contribute as the Internet is disconnected on Thursday Sue

Hi suec. So lovely to see you. Four girls. I have three, ages 14, 10 and 6. One of our sons is nearly 20 and it takes awhile to get used to the eldest moving out. He was in uni. and recently moved into shared accommodation, which I thought I'd take awhile to get used to but it is going well. He lives about 4 hours away. I spend a little bit of time in Southern NSW. It is greenish again looking around the paddocks today. Full time work, wow. I hope you enjoy it. Congratulations on finishing uni, it will all be a new chapter in your life, I hope your 11 year old really loves it. We hope to preserve more after we move, maybe next year now. We did a little last year. I'm sorry you won't have your internet after Thursday, but hope to see more of you. I hope you have a lovely time and that everything goes smoothly for you and your family. Welcome.

Hello and welcome from the US! We're all glad that you have found us! I have 2 boys, 25, 20 and one daughter, 22. While all three are out of the house, they seem to be here more now than the last few years that they lived here!! You sound as if you are about to enter another busy chapter in life....remember to breathe and enjoy the day!

Welcome suec! Hope you can spend some time here once your move is made. Love to know what you studied. It sounds like next year will be a very exciting and challenging time for you! I'm also married and am mum to boys 23 and 20, and dd who's 18. The boys both study and work part-time and so intend to stay at home for a while yet. Makes for a busy household, but it's nice to have this time with them while they're young adults. Have you seen the self-sufficiency site: www.aussieslivingsimply.com.au/news.php plenty of gardening info there. Br found that one.

Thank you all for your lovely words of welcome. My studies were for a B. Acct. And yes I have seen the Aussies Living Simple site, also another Aussie one is: greenlivingaustralia.com.au/forum/index.phpMy favourite site is an American one: www.mrssurvival.com - there are parts that I am not interested in but a lot of information about preserving and gardening etc. Sue

Internet is staying until the 7th now, as when we lost the rental our daughter lost her place as well Never mind we will get sorted out. In the mean time we are heading south so I might get internet access at some point. I will keep popping in. Sue
