good question......hmm I do think we are very close knit. I think being able to communicate effectively with each other........making sure that opinions are respected and doing things we enjoy together is what seems to work for us.

Aww Lise' Daniel is a good boy. He has been raised in a loving home and when those teen years are over you will see a lovely adult emerge.
Lynn, communication is so important.

Yes, I think we are a close knit family. We do have our oldest son François who seems to be detaching himself of us, but I can still feel he is close to our family.

Do you consider your immediate family close-knit? Yes, we're definitely a very close-knit family.
What things do you think makes a family close?
Always be a considerate & caring person, to one another.
Give your children lots of love, and tell them you love them ( and quite often ). That's one thing my parents never did. I always tell my daughter's I love them, and often. Guidance!! They still need it at any age.
Give your children respect, ( just as you taught them to give you respect ).
Be there for each other, in good times and in bad times ( without being judgemental ).
Be able to forgive and do apologize if you are ever wrong. We as parents are not always perfect, so if you make mistakes, be sure you apologize ( even to your children ).
