My DH is a great chef...and these days he does most of the cooking ;D When the kids were home and things were a bit tighter in the $ department, we "stretched" things by making hot sandwiches. Like: Leftover meats put into a gravy and spooned onto toast (sounds so-so but it's great comfort food!) Jazz it up by adding some mushrooms, onions, peppers and grated cheese...any kind you like. Sloppy Joe's made with eveything from chicken to venison! Chicken-al-la-King.....add the leftover chicken to a chicken gravy, add peas and carrots, over biscuits, toast or rice! I always like meatloaf or meatball sandwiches....saute up a few bell peppers and onions and make this REALLY taste good. Great...now I am hungry
