Baked Corn
2 cups corn or canned corn 2 T fat 1 1/2 T flour 1 cup milk 1 T sugar 1 t. salt 1/8 t. pepper 2 eggs 1/2 cup buttered crumbs
Melt the fat and add the flour, add milk gradually and bring to the boiling point, stirring constantly, add corn, sugar, salt and pepper and heat thoroughly. Remove from heat and add beaten eggs. Pour into a greased baking dish and sprinkle with buttered crumbs. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until corn is firm. Serves 4.

I am unfamiliar with MA so I didn't make that connection. My husband has been to upstate NY near Penn. Of course, your parents don't necessarily live near you I guess.

Br, That is the same recipe I use!...It is very delicious!!! Cool Chelle!!!...Your mom and dad live in Lancaster!!....I love to go out there and shop....do they ever go to Shady Maple to eat?...That is some huge smorgasboard!!...dh and I went there a few weeks ago!!

We really like upstate NY. He saw pumpkins for sale in October, that was very unusual for us. Fly fishing streams, birches, lovely.

Goods....isn't that a dry goods / hardware/ variety store?...I think we were in there...we are about 2 hours from Lancaster....i could spend days there looking around!! Sure is. I love it there because I can often find really good prices on the kids' clothes (or I did when they were younger anyway; we haven't been there for a while), and they have a fabric section that is out of this world! ;D
