Hearty Apple & Cinnamon Porridge
Serves 2
3/4 cup rolled oats (regular oatmeal) 2 cups reduced fat milk 1/2 cup canned pie apple (apple sauce) 1/2 teas cinnamon 2 teas castor or superfine sugar or granulated artificial sweetener, Splenda for example
Combine the oats, milk and apple in a saucpan and stirring, bring to the boil. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally, before removing from the heat. Spoon into serving bowls and sprinkle with combined cinnamon and sugar. Serve with extra milk if desired.
