Today is the shortest day of the year in Australia. It can only get lighter and brighter! The jonquils are flowering so that is cheery. It was quite a lovely warm day here. Tomorrow we are leaving the house before 7:30, fingers crossed with 4 kids lol, but hopefully it will be like today with little frost as we have to go down steep hills. I expect we will be crossing the tall mountain in the dark at night with the roos. This is what I saw on my walk with the girls today. and a wombat at the park.

What time does it get dark? I think on the longest day in Australia it gets dark at 9pm.

Yep, First Day of summer here and the longest too. Your right Chelle, and boy is it hot and humid today. I hope that is an indication of an early fall instead of a long hot summer...I dont have central air....

We don't have air-conditioning either. We only had it for 3 years I think.

We crossed the place with the roos before it got dark. We actually saw more this morning. The town lights were pretty to come home to.
We left well before time, and it wasn't too cold outside, and safe to drive.

Very nice pics, BR. Thanks for sharing.
No central air? Oh my goodness....I don't think I could live without it. 102 here yesterday with 100 % humidity. Like walking into an oven. ugh.

I don't think I would be able to take humidity.
