I listened to a podcast today about health research. The interviewee is a Professor at a Canadian university. Like many people, I am concerned about my health but not concerned enough to do all that's possible to keep myself well, particularly with regard to weight. I carried an extra 10 kilos/20 pounds around for about 3 years, lost half of it but still have the rest to get rid of. Most of it is sitting around my middle. I'm not in the danger zone, that measurement that's given as the arbitrary measure of potential health risk, but neither am I the weight I should be. This podcast brought home to me the reality of carrying those extra kilos, as the health implications may be greater than realised. www.abc.net.au/rn/healthreport/stories/2008/2232304.htm

I am worse, because I don't know how much I would have to lose to be in a healthy weight position.
I have been watching a lot of You Are What You Eat, but those people are very overweight.

From your pic you are a healthy weight, but here's a respectable check point: www.health.nsw.gov.au/obesity/youth/bmi.htmlI'm in the healthy range, but am creeping toward the upper limit. I can feel the middle age spread.....spreading!

I feel I lost some weight about a year ago and some went to muscle. I was 2.7 over what was healthy doing the test. I thought that may be the case as dh had a similar outcome when the factory tested him over 5 years ago. I don't have a slight build, but is 2.7 much over? I hate to think lol.
