I wish I had seen your posts before I have to dash off, silly me.
It is a topic of great interest after my Dad dying of cancer 2 weeks ago. It is a recurring theme in my mind actually.

I do apologise, Br, for my timing - in my enthusiasm to share I forgot to think first. Sorry.
The interviews I've read and heard with him show him to be an exceptional person. He decided to go ahead with the lecture, despite being sick, because he felt it would be the last chance he'd have to leave something of himself behind for his kids as well as his students and the world at large.

That is quite OK violet. Lots of things remind me of it, and I see things differently now. Maybe that won't last, I don't know. I tried a couple of times to watch the video and it kept stopping, will have to try again.

It's hard to lose a parent. It was a long, long time before dh could mention his parents in conversation. He still finds it hard to talk about his mum.
I'm glad that you are feeling ok atm.
