Well, I've written some poetry over the years, and thought since Phyllis had the courage to post a poem or two...I'd give it a try too!

Here goes:

BLESSINGS

Remind me to count my blessings Lord-
To give thanks from whom they flow
You give of them so abundantly Lord,
Falling wherever the winds may blow.

You spread warm sunshine over here-
Sprinkle rain drops over there,
Then seal it with a rainbow
Your promise of how much You care!

Remind me to count my blessings Lord-
When I feel distant and far from You,
If I'd just open my eyes, and look around
I'll realize, just how much You do.

So be patient with me Lord, and give me lots of love-
You know how often I can forget,
To give my praise - to Whom it belongs,
But I'll learn my lesson yet!

I've been out of the loop here for a while and just getting back............I know, it's been QUITE a while! Anyway, I just had to tell you I love your poem! It is so charming and so true and the way you put it..........I believe it touches all of us! I hope you post more of them!
