DH mentioned this to me, it was very interesting. I haven't read it yet properly. I do my fruit and vege online with a fruit and vege store that also has bread and a few things like stock cubes, canned pineapple, salad dressings. I find if you don't buy the bin items (which I do because they are very cheap, fruit for under 40c each) the fruit and vege are of good quality. I guess fruit and vege shops are of good quality anyway. www.arnoldsonline.com.au"People are undisciplined when they go food shopping," said Steve Ogden-Barnes, program director at the Australian Centre for Retail Studies. He said habits had swung from one weekly shopping trip towards several smaller trips using the supermarket more as a convenience store. "It's not necessarily a fault on the retailer's part but a lost skill on the consumer's part, which is planning a weekly meal menu," he said. "We know, for example, that a lot of people don't know what they're eating that evening until four o'clock in the afternoon. Getting people now to sit down and think a week in advance is probably at odds with the mindset of consumers, which tends to be much more short term than that." business.smh.com.au/coles-and-woolies-to-renew-push-to-win-online-shoppers-20080609-2o1a.html
