The past few weeks we have been hit with notifications of plans to increase fees for many things.
It is pretty daunting to try to once again re-configure the budget...
We got an increase notification today that our cable bill will go up 2.95$ a month. Also in todays mail we got a letter informing us that our garbage pick-up rate will increase by 2$ a month. Last month both our home insurance and car insurance went up. In November the water rate and sewer rate both increased by a couple dollars a month.
Wow.... at this rate soon our pension check won't be going as far as it once did. If I let myself dwell on that it becomes pretty scary.
So...tell me..... what are some things that you do to cut costs and where can I trim the budget.

My Mum is going through this. One thing I keep thinking of when she talks about going out, like for example taking the girls out shopping the other day, is to find a bread or sandwich chain that is really cheap and to bring a cooler with iced Koolaid or something from home. We made up a cooler this morning to take to pick up the girls. Our chain is Baker's Delight. www.bakersdelight.com.au/
