Scratch Remover Make your own inexpensive cover-up for furniture scratches: Mix instant coffee and water into a thick paste and apply it to hide nicks and scratches on dark wood furniture.

What a great tip Lucie. I have light oak furniture for the most part. I wonder if there is a fix for the scratches on light coloured wood. I usually buy the scracth hider from old English. But you have to be careful with that, if dropped it stains quickly and isn't removable.

That is a great tip, Lucie. Thanks for sharing.
Carolyn, I have some of that light oak also. I have used a brown crayon to fill in, buff and then polish with a good quality wood moisturizer, like the almond oil.
