What are you reading in July?

I am reading Mother Mason by Bess Streeter Aldrich, which is about a mother not necessarily a nun.

The library gave me a lot of books, not sure how I will go.

Not sure if all are suitable yet either.

Prairie Noturne by Ivan Doig
five novels by Edna Ferber
A Place Called Home by Lori Wick
The All-true travels and adventures of Lidie Newton by Jane Smiley
Bucking the Sun by Ivan Doig
Mountain Time by Ivan Doig.

I read A Place Called Home and enjoyed it.

Then read The Diary of Mattie Spenser.

I think I will give back all of Ivan Doig.

In the end I read none of the top ones listed, except A Place Called Home and The Diary of Mattie Spencer. I read another novel by the same author called Alice's Tulips.

Both were not exactly gentle reads, but very good.
