Are we all ready for the new year? House cleaned, everything in its place? It really doesn't matter whether the house is cleaned in the last days of 2007 or the first days of 2008, but there is something very satisfying about having a household that's ready to go for the next year.
This is when I re-do the household budget, and generally set the tone for the coming year. I've tossed a few bits and pieces that aren't doing much but gathering dust. We have an old computer that we need to make a decision about.
There's is a finite amount of storage space in any house, and somehow a new year seems a good time to ratify it.
