Here's a site that offers a home staging service, that is, making your house look good for sale. Go to the link and click on the Staging Gallery for examples of their work (and some hints!): www.harmonioushomeinc.com/

I don't know if I have mentioned it yet. I have watched two episodes of an English home staging program I think on the How To channel on Austar. Will have to find out the name. I am just getting used to the shows on that channel. www.housedoctor.co.uk/tv-series/000547.phpI think this is it, House Doctor. Staging caused me a little stress this morning. I was talking to Mum and she was anxious about it, then it rubbed off on me. I guess it was the difference of opinion, not sure. I try to keep in mind something I read once about the age of people buying houses, which is under my age.

This one is really nice. www.homestagingandstyling.com.au/basics.htmlThis is a good explanation about the outside of the house. "If the exterior of the home looks dreary, and in need of maintenance and repairs, then buyers assume that the interior will tell the same story." The inside: "A clean, fresh and updated look says that you have kept your home well....."

I agree that street appeal is vital. Your garden will help sell your house, Br. Tidy is important too, so that each room looks as spacious as possible.
Some people bake bread and brew coffee, but I still think the most important thing is that the house is light, airy, uncluttered and clean.
