Storage is extremely short in our house. A garage, into which no car would go, would be wonderful, but it won't really fit. As we have old beds, ie, not mattress and base sets, there's a nice big space underneath for stuff. I prefer nothing under beds, but right now there are 3 cricket bags (they're huge), some painting paraphernalia, a box of trophies, assorted balls, a tool box and two drills. That's actually rather embarrassing. Anyone else stash stuff under beds where it can't be seen?

It is lovely not to have anything under there, but I have shoes and small boxes. I love those beds with drawers under them, bunker style, used one for children's clothes once and loved it.

We had drawers made to go under the boys beds many, many years ago. They were used for their toys, but although the theory was good, they never seemed to get back under the bed, so their rooms looked permanently messy and cramped! They'd have been great for storage now though. Although they still wouldn't fit a cricket bag!

I can just visualise that. Tripping over them! Or leaning over them.
