We had a sort of lateral organizing win recently.
Eldest ds bought a gorgeous, bargain basement priced print from ebay last year. It's a 3 feet wide and high, signed, numbered, limited edition etching (? I think) of Melbourne, the city we live in. It looks like a pencil sketch, on white paper, of buildings, houses, roads - it's just wonderful.
It's been living in a giant tube near the front door for ages. Finally he took it to be framed, which I ended up paying for. It was a very good price and we were a bit concerned how it would come out.
Well, the framer has done a fabulous job. It's much nicer than either of us expected.
It's really too large for ds bedroom; he bought it to grace his first house so won't be needing it for quite a long while. So, we decided to try it in the dining room. It looks fantastic.
The end result is that ds has a beautiful piece of artwork for when he does have his own home, we have a fabulous centerpiece in the dining room and there is no longer a giant cardboard tube hanging around the house. Perfect!

That is wonderful Violet. Even my "new" canisters with the cheery pink lids seemed to help, something cheery in the dead of winter. I love those style of pictures. I have two small ones that were given to me years ago, but haven't found exactly were to put them. They are on the wall, but just anywhere. I am so happy you like the frame and that it fits in a great place.

Thanks, Br. It's nice to have a success in that department!
